Surprised by the drab pre and post stuff

So let me start by saying I loved the course! Running through NYC is like nothing else anywhere! The expo was a disappointment. No freebies at all. It was just a huge store for new balance with merch way overpriced! The day of the race I was surprised that there wasnat more direction to the start. A lot of us were walking around asking cops and volunteers and no one seemed to know if we were going the right way. I did like the pre race heat blankets! Once the race was over I thought there would be some kind of after party, but instead we were herded our od Central Park onto the street and that was it. I was so disappointed because I thought for sure NYC would do it right at the end of race party! It was all good because we went out to a local place and had our own party, but part of the reason I do these races is the after party! The medal was kind of boring too. I paid 135 I think for this race so the fact that there was a lot of things that were a downer makes me sad! The course
Canat be beat so I see why some folks would say they would do it again!
