Perfect venue for racing and spectating

I love this race so much that I've completed it the last 4 years in a row!! The course if flat and fast! The 3 loop run breaks up your route perfectly, and you get to see TONS of spectators, family, and friends a bunch. Staying at the host hotel, Moody Gardens, is the best overall experience for this race. You literally just walk to transition, then over to swim...but get down there early, the line gets LOOONG, and you don't want to miss your group going off. The water can be a bit choppy at the first turn to head back toward the ferry boat, but still a great overall swim! The bike WILL be windy, so plan accordingly. The run can be super hot....salt, salt, salt!!
