Great race/course - too hot!

Really enjoyed this race. Loved the course through jersey city and liberty state park. Long distance along the Hudson River with great views of the New York skyline and Statue of Liberty m. The course was nice and flat as well (no hills) which makes it a good one for a half marathon first timer.

Only complaint was the weather. The course did not go through any shaded areas and it was really hot and Sunny in race day. Made for a very exhausting experience and I noticed a lot of people being attended too due to exhaustion. Of course thereas no way to predict weather but with it being mid September , we have to expect that it can still be ho. My thought would be to start the race one hour earlier. I know itas early (730am) but much more pleasant and cool earlier which results in a smoother race.

Overall a great experience and course and would def recommend if!
