After doing two marathons in Napa (beautiful .... but yawn) NYC was a completely different experience. I was totally amazed at the number of people lining the streets for over 90% of the race! The large crowd was so supportive and kind. They really got me through some tough miles. I

This would have been a Great race instead of just good, with the exception of the weather. You would expect a September race to be nice and cool, but it ended up being a freakishly warm and humid (80s) day, and after a mile, it was rough pushing through already

Excellent scenery and well organized event. Tough trails at altitude - but worth the views. Ragnar Village is spread out on a soccer and baseball field so nice soft grass to pitch camp. A rec center at the village provides showers and a pool so it's far from roughing it.
