The Life Time Chicago Turkey Trot 8K and 5K and Kids Run is a Running race in Chicago, Illinois consisting of a 5K and 8K and Kids Run/Fun Run.

The Annual Life Time Turkey Trot Chicago 5K & 8K and Plymouth Rock Ramble Kids Race returns this Thanksgiving morning! Gather your flock and join us for this Turkey Day tradition. Supporting the Greater Chicago Food Depository, you'll join fellow runners, joggers and walkers in some lighthearted fun while ensuring no Chicagoan will go hungry this holiday season. On November 23rd, Lincoln Park welcomes participants of all ages and paces. Centered around the Turkey Day Tailgate, you'll enjoy pre and post-race activities like Corn Hole, Football Toss, and more while sipping on warm apple cider. We can't anticipate the weather, but we can guarantee the fun!

The Life Time Chicago Turkey Trot 5K & 8K will step off from Fullerton Pkwy and Cannon Dr at 9:00 A.M. in a wave start (Wave details located in the Schedule) Participants will run east on Fullerton Pkwy toward the Lakefront Trail.

After passing under Lake Shore Drive participants will run north along the Lakefront Trail to Recreation Dr. 5K participants will turnaround just south of Addison and Recreation Dr. 8K participants will continue north on the Lakefront Trail and turnaround just south of Montrose Ave.

Southbound runners will use Recreation Drive until merging back onto the Lakefront Trail just south of Addison. Participants will continue to follow the Lakefront Trail south until traversing under Lake Shore Dr at the Barry Bridge. Once through the bridge, they will follow the cinder path into the Finish Line located just south of the Diversey Driving Range parking lot.

Chicago's Lakefront Trail is open to the public and participants should expect minimal but general public traffic during the race. For your safety and the safety of others, please be courteous and yield at all intersections.
This course is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Para-athletes are welcome and encouraged to participate.
