The Trideltathon Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Knoxville, Tennessee consisting of a Super Sprint.
The TriDeltathon, the oldest running pool triathlon in the country, will again be the regular swim/bike/run format. As always, a 400 meter pool swim will be followed by a 6 mile tour of the UT campus & Neyland Drive, capped off by a 3 mile campus run passing Neyland Stadium and Thompson Boling Arena. Overall, age group, & relay division awards, as well as special student pricing available. Soft cotton shirts for all participants. Back from last year--8:30 race start time. The TriDeltathon is NOT a USAT sanctioned event. Volunteer support, as usual, is provided by the ladies of Delta Delta Delta sorority, with proceeds going to East TN Children's Hospital.
I thought the general layout and organization of the race was simple and straightforward. The competitors ranged from young first timers to aged veterans.
