The Dam Tri is a Triathlon race in Lexington, South Carolina consisting of a Sprint, and Aquathlon race consisting of a Sprint
Voted the athlete's favorite in 2015, and second favorite in 2018, this Sprinternational distance event provides a longer distance than your typical sprint tri but doesn't expect quite as much from you as the international distance. The entire triathlon incorporates segments of the Lake Murray Dam. Starting with the 1000 meter lake swim, athletes will be comfortable with or without wetsuits as water temperature will be around 75 degrees. The swim is one large triangle starting alongside the massive spillway of the dam. Once out of the water it is a quick dash to transition and onto the 2 loop mostly flat to rolling bike course.
