The swimming portion runs parallel to the beach and the waves are typically small so early in the morning.
The bike portion has a beautiful 11.1 mile course along the Lake Minnewaska and beautiful views and the run is 2.5 miles
out and back along the Lake and finishes by a soccer field.

A nice course, though you start and end on an uphill, so be prepared for that. They do post the times on the gym wall, but it's had to see that small type, but I guess with an expected turnout of 2500 runners this year they had to fit everyone.

This was my third marathon and my favorite one. Didn't have a pr but enjoyed every bit of running by the monuments. Everyone should run this race. Great support throughout. The shuttles were excellent
