Karen Stevens Memorial Kids Triathlon - Severna Park, Maryland - Triathlon

The Karen Stevens Memorial Kids Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Severna Park, Maryland consisting of a Youth/Kids.

The Friends of Trail are hosting the 10th annual Karen Stevens Memorial Kidas Triathlon on Saturday September 15th at the Severna Park Community Center. The triathlon is open to all children under 14 years old. The asprinta length distances are perfect for young triathletes. The Triathlon takes place at the Severna Park Community Center indoor pool and the B&A Trail. The triathlon can be completed individually or by teams of 2 or 3 people. Donat delay, early registration ends August 27th.

10 & Under Swim - 200 Yards, Bike a 2 mile, Run a1 mile
11-14 Years Old: Swim - 400 Yards, Bike a 4 miles, Run a 1A½ miles

In addition to the triathlon being an opportunity for children to experience a triathlon, it is also the main fundraiser for the Karen Stevens Swim lesson program. The lesson program uses the money raised from the triathlon to provide totally free swim lessons to children with special needs. These lessons are taught by qualified instructors at the Community Center. Over 250 lessons have been given since the program started in 2016.
