Pioneer Sprint Triathlon - Petersburg, Illinois - Triathlon

The Pioneer Sprint Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Petersburg, Illinois consisting of a Super Sprint.

 _ 2017 Pioneer Sprint Triathlon:The Pioneer Sprint Triathlon will begin April 30, 2017 and offers a 300 yard swim in the heated indoor PORTA pool, a beautiful 13 mile bike ride on a rolling and flat prairie road and the chance to run 3.1 miles through picturesque Petersburg. The run will take you past century old architectural gems, up and down the streets of Petersburg and through a historic cemetery. All ages are welcome and Clydesdales, Athenas and teams are encouraged to enter. An awards ceremony will follow after the last runner crosses the finish line. When you finish the swim you can step into the  locker rooms to dry off and change into bike and run clothes. Post race dinner of chicken and noodles, green beans and dessert will be provided to all racers. Post race showers will be available at the PORTA pool. Racers should tune to 1610 am for the latest race information.feesRegister by midnight 3/24 at early fee of $35 for Abe's Mini and $45 for Pioneer Sprint. Register on 3/25 through race day for $40 for Abe's Mini and $50 for Pioneer Sprint .
