The Kid's Race the River is a Triathlon race in Coeur dâEUR(TM)Alene, Idaho consisting of a Sprint.
This is a fun triathlon for kids 4-12. We strive to provide a positive experience where health and self-confidence are promoted in a safe and family-friendly environment. As a component of the entire Race the River Triathlon weekend, the Kid's race will be held Saturday during adult packet pick up, so that the kids will have the opportunity to race on the same course that adults will race on the next day! Each will receive a swim cap, t-shirt, a goodie bag and best of all, a super cool finisher's medal! All will race through the finisher's chute to the finish line amid a cheering crowd.

For our youngest athletes, ages 4-7, one support person will be permitted to assist/help the child in transition if necessary. A color wristband will identify this person. We will have plenty of volunteers in the water, in transition and on the bike and run courses to assist as well. Your 8-12 year old athletes will be well taken care of by our volunteers.
Floatation devices are allowed during the swim portion of the race. The water is very shallow and if need be, kids who do not swim well can walk through the water. We will have volunteers in the water to assist.
