About The Tall Pines Sprint Triathlon
The Tall Pines Sprint Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Augusta, Georgia consisting of a Super Sprint.
SWIM:
The swim takes place in beautiful Clarks Hill Lake (also know to South Carolinians as Strom Thurmond Reservoir). Participants will have the rush of a sandy beach start prior to the swim of 500 meters clockwise with buoys being placed at 150-200 meter intervals.
BIKE:
The bike course is a straight out and back course. Participants will head right out of West Dam Park and onto Clarks Hill Road, this is a five mile section of flat fast riding. When participants arrive at Washington Road they will turn around and come back. There are no turns, no intersections and no real elevation changes.
RUN:
The run is anKeep Reading out and back course, which will take participants back down Clarks Hill Road and into the neighboring park. The course will be moderately shaded, fairly flat, with aid stations at the 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 mile marks.
