Juneau, Alaska sets the stage for your next epic adventure and ultimate bragging rights. Those willing to take on this epic race will swim 2.4 miles in Auke Lake with stunning views of Mt. McGinnis and panoramic views of ice capped peaks. The bike course will feature 112 miles of dramatic scenery as athletes push to their limit along the Glacier Highway. The final 26.2 miles takes athletes through the lush rainforest of Mendenhall Valley. This race has experiences unlike anywhere else in the world. Swim
The two loop 2.4 mile swim course will take place in the stunning Auke Lake off of the campus of University of Alaska Southeast. This spring fed lake water temperatures in August hover around 65F and the truly Alaskan backdrop as your sighting lines should give you plenty of ice capped mountains to peek at between breaths and as sighting lines.
Bike
112 miles in Alaska will not disappoint those seeking a stunning ride along the channel waters that boarder the Glacier highway. Two loops along the Glacier Highway will take you to the literal end of the road in this area and back to Auke Lake for your next leg of the race. Make sure you take caution as your eyes will want to stare at the beautiful scenery along the route, so try and balance that with your eyes on the road in front of you!
Run
This hilly run features two historic trails on this course and gains over 1,300ft of elevation. Race 26.2 miles along the Back Loop and Montana Creek before following the Kaxdigoowu Heen Dei (Brotherhood) trail alongside the Mendenhall River greenbelt to transition into your second lap. Cross the finish line back on the campus of the University of Alaska Southeast.
