The 5150 Subic Bay Philippines is a Triathlon race in Subic Bay, consisting of a Sprint.
A short-course companion event to the IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN Subic Bay races, this event makes the perfect training race, or introduction to triathlon for friends, family, and supporters.
Cut Off Time
Swim Cut-Off Time is 60 minutes after the final Age Group Participant crosses the start line timing mat to begin the swim. No competitor will be allowed to bike if they do not reach the swim exit by the cut-off time. This includes relay teams.
Bike Cut-Off time is 3 hours and 30 minutes after the final Age Group Participant crosses the start line timing mat to begin the swim. No participant will be allowed to begin the run if they do not enter transition 2 before the cut-off time. This includes relay teams.
Finish Cut-Off time is 5 hours and 30 minutes after the final Age Group Participant crosses the start line timing mat to begin the swim.
Swim
The 5150 Subic Bay starts with a 1.5-kilometer swim at Acea Subic Bay beach, following a counter-clockwise flow. The swim course is divided into 650 meters, 200 meters, and 650 meters. After completing the swim, participants will exit the beach following the path to Transition 1 at San Bernardino Road. From Transition 1, they will grab their bikes and head out to the bike mount area in San Bernardino Road corner Argonaut Highway.
Bike
The 3-loop 40-kilometer bike course will take the participants around the scenic flat coastal roads of Subic Bay. It will start in Argonaut Highway heading towards the Malawaan Park and make their first turnaround at KM 6.67. They will head back to Acea Subic Bay for turnaround 2 just before the mounting arch at KM13.3. Participants will then again bike towards the Malawaan Park for turnaround 3 at KM 20, and back to Acea Subic Bay for turnaround 4 at KM 26.67. Participants will make their final turnaround at KM 33.33 at the Malawaan Park before heading to Transition at San Bernardino Road.
Run
The 10-kilometer single loop, hilly and challenging run course will start at San Bernardino Road. Exiting at Argonaut Highway, participants will head towards the hilly Zambales Highway crossing Tarlac Road to Aparri Road. Participants will head to the single turnaround at KM 5 and run back to San Bernardino Road and enter transition before heading to the finish line at the Acea Subic Bay Parking lot.
