Ironman 70.3 Switzerland - Rapperswil-Jona - Triathlon

The Ironman 70.3 Switzerland is a Triathlon race in Rapperswil-Jona, consisting of a Half Ironman.

The city of Rapperswil-Jona with its gorgeous leisure district and inviting Riviera has been the host city of the IRONMAN 70.3 Switzerland dating back to 2007. It is no coincidence that over the years the city of roses has welcomed thousands to this exciting event; with its numerous attractions and perfectly integrated public transport system, the city is an ideal destination for visitors.

Swim
The one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course is located at the Obersee right next to the stadium. Keep the buoys always on your right hand side to complete the clockwise course in the pristine waters of the Obersee.

CUT-OFF: 1h 10min | Wetsuits are mandatory up to 18.9 degrees Celsius.

Bike
The two-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course leads you into the hills right next to the Obersee. As you pass the Rickengebiet via Neuhaus and Goldingen you return to the lake passing Eschenbach and Schmerikon.

There are two laps to finish and the total vertical climb is 1,100 meters.

Run
The two-loop, 21.1 km run course leads along the lake bank towards the medieval city centre, where the legendary Stairway to Heaven awaits. After a total of 112 steps, you run along the enchanting Riviera towards the finish line.
