The Tobacco Road Marathon is a Running race in Raleigh, North Carolina consisting of a Marathon and Half Marathon.
The Allscripts Tobacco Road Marathon features over 20 miles of the American Tobacco Trail (ATT). The rest of the course is flat and fast with a downhill finish. Up to 10 perecent of our runners qualify for the legendary Boston Marathon!
Less experienced runners benefit too as the fast, flat, energy-absorbing course and ideal temperatures (averaging in the 40as and 50as Fahrenheit) make it a great setting for your personal record.
Course Highlights include:
a Full and half marathon run the same course for 2.5 miles to and from the American Tobacco Trail (ATT)
a Full marathon has 21 miles on the ATT and the half marathon has 8
This was a great marathon! I was pleasantly surprised, as I was worried about the course being boring since it runs along the same trail (a well-groomed, packed trail) for almost the whole marathon; however, it was quite scenic, nice and shaded for most of it, and my husband was More...
