Tacky Sweater 5K - Purcell, Oklahoma - Running

The Tacky Sweater 5K is a Running race in Purcell, Oklahoma consisting of a 1 Mile and 5K.

We would love for everyone to find or put together their ugliest Christmas sweater and join us for our 2nd Annual Tacky Sweater 5k and 1 mile Fun Run. Purcell Lakes route is certified and this is a sanctioned timed event. Does not mean that you have to run it but if you are a serious runner, rest assured, your times will be recorded! All of the proceeds from the event are going to be donated to Lil Dragon Food Pantry. Checks are all made out to Purcell Public Schools Foundation. After the event is over, we get with the Lil Dragon Food Pantry to see what they need. Then we go and purchase the food and drop it all of to them.

Race is going to be at night through the Purcell Lights from the Heart. Race begins after the lights close which is around 9:30 pm. We would like everyone to come early to check in, get your face painted, show off your tacky sweater for the contest, and play some minute to win it games. ;) Santa will be there for selfies! Okie Bills will be there this year also. He is having a special, sandwich & chips, $6. All of that money is also going to the food pantry. He will be out there the entire time, so you can eat before or after the race!
