The Monterey Spartan Event Weekend is a Obstacle & Mud Runs race in Salinas, California consisting of a Sprint - 5K - 20 Obstacles (Short) and Super - 10K - 25 Obstacles (Intermediate) and Kids Adventure Run With Mud & Obstacles.

Welcome to beautiful Toro park. Located just six miles from downtown Salinas, this park is teeming with picturesque woods, rolling golden hills, and features some of the most ideal coastal California weather you will find. A true fan favorite, this course boasts all the demanding features that you've come to know from Spartan; brutal climbs, open field sprints, and our famous punishing obstacles, all ready to set your muscles ablaze.

Come pound your way through these rugged trails while enjoying some of the most beautiful views the Golden State has to offer. While your muscles will be on fire, begging for mercy, the awe-inspiring scenery makes everything worth it. What an amazing place to truly become unbreakable.

This weekend also features Spartan Trail Race.

All race finishers will receive a t-shirt, medal, and professional photos. Every registration comes with access to a Spartan account to track your tickets, race results, photos, teams, and challenges.

Spartan Sprint is a 5 km, 20 obstacle race that will change your life. This is our signature race type, a fast-paced adventure through rugged terrain built for new and returning racers alike. It's the perfect gateway into the world of Spartan. The Sprint is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.

Spartan Super is a 10 km, 25 obstacle race that blends speed, endurance and technical skill. Supers are built to always keep you guessing, testing your athleticism and mental fortitude over rugged terrain. This race separates athletes from Spartans. The Super is a Spartan Trifecta eligible event.
