This has always been one of my favorite races in DC because it takes place against the backdrop of the beautiful cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin and Hanes point in DC in April. Weather is always unpredictable, but typically the temps are perfect for a great race (cold, but manageable).

I've run this race for the past 10 years. This event attracts some very elite runners in the Classic 10K. Frank Shorter, 1972 Olympic Gold medalist returns very year from Coloroado for this event. Frank grew up in Middletown. Nice hometown feel here. I run to support Josh's team.

I've run this race 15 times! It's well organized and in a spectacular location. Meb, Bill Rogers, Joan Benoit have run this race in the last few years. The course is breathtaking. Pre- and Post-race activities are plentiful. It's a great weekend destination. If you want to read my full review,
