The Skinny Turkey is a Running race in Boaz, Alabama consisting of a 10K and 5K.
Feeling stuffed from Thanksgiving? Get moving and register for Boaz Parks & Recreation's first Skinny Turkey 5K and 10K Run. Make it a competition or take your time through the beautiful Boaz area in your craziest Thanksgiving attire. The route will follow through Snead State Community College, the Boaz Sportsplex, and Boaz Elementary School on all paved roads with some small hills. The 5K and 10K will begin and end at the Boaz Recreation Center with water stations and port-o-potties available along the route. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be given to each age group at the awards ceremony.
