One of the Premier races in the Manasota Track Club racing series, this event offers free registration to all children under 14. A great family event in the picturesque Oscar Scherer State Park. The Scrub Jay races benefit Friends of Oscar Scherer park, Inc. Friends of Oscar Scherer park supports the park through charitable, scientific, literary and educational functions and through programs, activities and fund raising to foster awareness of its importance as an environmental and recreational asset and to assist in conserving its natural and cultural resources.
