The Eisenbahn Trail, built on a former railroad corridor, is a 25-mile trail extending from the historic city of West Bend into the scenic countryside of eastern Wisconsin past the glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Eisenbahn is German for railroad
The trail is surfaced with limestone screenings, however racers will start and finish the event on 1.25 miles of paved asphalt. This is an out and back race on a relatively flat course. Participants will begin and end the race near downtown West Bend, Wisconsin. The Start/Finish
Course is level & mostly limestone (1st/last 1+ miles paved), in shade for half the half-marathon I did. Pickup at 5:30 was quick & easy to find. Parking is nearby. Had enough water/gatorade stations. Only minor issues for me: 1) not having water available at the start, but More...
