Such as awesome event with unbelievable support from the community. There were people cheering with signs and costumes at every intersection. The whole town came out to participate or watch.

Very challenging Half Marathon-- and it was fantastic! It was wonderfully staffed, with great course support and cheer squads! The Kids Fun Run was also wonderful. It was fun for the whole family!

SO MANY (RACES) OUT IN THE COUNTRY ARE LONELY EXPERIENCES. THE CHEER LEADING EVERY COUPLE OF MILES, ESPECIALLY ON THE HILLS, WAS A NICE TOUCH.

In addition, we received a lot of comments about how truly grueling and challenging a course we offer to our racers! Over and over again, we heard comments regarding this truly is ne MOTHER of a run, and how our hills are ridiculous. We even received feedback from a 33-time half marathoner from Tennessee that has raced all over this beautiful country, saying... Frankly, you folks totally undersell that course. I know the name implies the race is a bit rough... but let's be honest. That course was a monster.
