Boar's Head Turn & Burn - Charlottesville, Virginia - Running

The Boar's Head Turn & Burn is a Running race in Charlottesville, Virginia consisting of a 4.9 Mile Trail Run.

Come join the Boar's Head Turn & Burn, a 4.7-mile trail run at the beautiful Boar's Head Resort! With a fast rolling start that gets your legs turning over, and a tough climb/descent in the middle that makes them burn, you'll find the race's name fitting! The race starts at Boar's Head Sports Club and follows the Boar's Head single-track and double-track trails to the summit of Round Top Mountain (919 ft), and then retraces the route back to the Boar's Head. The out-and-back course has a total elevation gain of 815 ft.

The race is open to all interested racers, runners, and walkers.

The Turn & Burn is the third race of the Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series. If you would like to run the entire series and be eligible for the Series Finisher Shirt, you must register for the Summer Series on or before May 11th. Online registration for the series can be found here! Alternatively, the Boars Head Turn & Burn is a stand alone race, so joining the series is not required!

Prizes will be awarded to top 3 finishers in each age group and overall, and points will be awarded to Charlottesville Trail Running Summer Series runners, cumulative time scoring.
