The Shamba Foundation is excited to host its annual 5K fundraiser!! In Kenya, it is not uncommon for children to run 3 miles or more to and from school every day. This is our way of walking or "running" in their shoes. The Shamba Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to promote sponsorships to feed, clothe, house, and educate children in Kenya; providing opportunities for self-reliance, optimism, and a hopeful future. The chase is on! Dressed as your favorite safari animal (OPTIONAL!) from Kenya, you or your team will run through the tall grasses and around the watering hole as the 5K race winds throughKeep Reading 20 acres at Jensen Nature Park in Syracuse, Utah. Run on a 9 foot wide paved path that is wheelchair accessible. Not located nearby? You can run your own simulated Serengeti at any gym, track or park! Race with friends from around the world--- from our school children in Nairobi to your own personal location.
