Nothing super special about the race itself (although, it was wonderfully flat) but it was pretty cool as part of the Nebraska State Fair. You can basically run the race, take a shower (they offer free showers there), and then wander the state fair eating fried oreos and other fun

Well organized. Texas sized. Didn't expect the wind that blows gently,but continuously for days. Neither flat nor hilly, just a nice change up throughout the course. Lots of variation and felt like a faster run for me. Lots of energy at race start from crowd and announcers. Start of race

My first half marathon. Gorgeous New England woodland scenery. Not much of an expo or anything beforehand (at least, not in 2015) but fantastic Smuttynose beer afterwards. I might have had one or three while waiting for my wife to finish the marathon.
