The Citizens Run Against Cancer Half Marathon is a Running race in Victoria, Texas consisting of a Half Marathon and 5K.
Come join runners from across the region for the 4th Annual Citizens Run Against Cancer Half Marathon and 5K. The course starts and finishes in Historic Downtown Victoria, and takes runners through beautiful neighborhoods in Old Town Victoria and then winds through tree-lined Riverside Park and along the beautiful Guadalupe River. The course then winds back for a fun finish on Deleon Plaza where runners will be greeted with post-race refreshments as well as vendor tables with free giveaway.
The race was well organized, and the course easy to follow. The course ran along side the beautiful Guadalupe River for a good distance, and past historical old homes for the rest of the race, making the whole thing very scenic. There were several small hills near the end, More...
Well planned event with an awesome turnout for it being the first half marathon put on for the city of Victoria! Course highlighted the city by going through downtown and into the park, and it was a pretty run with the sun peeking through the horizon as the run began. Plenty More...
Well planned, well marked route with a lot of water stations and crowds cheering runners on this run through downtown Victoria and our beautiful city park. Post race massages and refuel/hydration stations. Parking was easy. Great race on a fairly flat and fast course.
