The Nocona Mardi Gras 5K/10K is a Running race in Nocona, Texas consisting of a 10K and 5K.

The city of Nocona is going to let the good time roll! Runners, music, and beads with will the streets for the Mardi Gras Band on the Run 5k. Register today and join the party! All funds raised through this race, the Annual Mardi Gras - Nocona Style 5k & 10k, will go directly to support the students in the Nocona Indian Band, Choir and Color Guard through the Band Booster Club. Over the years, the Band Booster Club has been able to assist these student programs by doing things such as: buying new Color Guard uniforms, providing student dinners at out-of-town competitions, buying equipment for the Marching Band performances,Keep Reading paying for instrument repairs and providing scholarships to students who are going to further their education in music. Studies have shown that students who participate in activities such as Band and Choir perform better in standardized testing and have increased math scores. We are proud that our school district does a phenomenal job offering these and other extracurricular activities and are thrilled that these students can receive support from the community.
