Rocky Top 5K Run - Sweetwater, Tennessee - Running

The Rocky Top 5K Run is a Running race in Sweetwater, Tennessee consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run and 1 Mile and 5K.

This 5k Run/Walk and 1 mile Fun Run is in honor of Greg Collette, a well loved friend and citizen of our small little town, Sweetwater, TN. We want to keep his memory alive and his giving to others, as with the Rocky Top Run. The proceeds will go to the Sweetwater Education Foundation (Greg Collette Scholarship) to help a graduating senior realize their dream of furthering their education.
We welcome you to join us in celebrating the life of Greg and help us keep his dream alive of running his first 5K.

Course Description

Paved roads & sidewalks. Gently sloping, no steep grades.
This race will begin at the Gazebo in the heart of Sweetwater.
On this run you will see places that Greg frequented. You will see his place
of worship, First Baptist Church, his home on South High Street, where
many UT games were watched and celebrated. UT was his alma
mater. Then the run will take you on to Sweetwater High School,
where he graduated and shared many fond memories with his
classmates and continued to attend events there.
The Rocky Top Run will continue on to Willow Creek,
where Greg walked, ran, and exercised on a daily basis. He had
found a way to get healthy and tried to motivate those around
him to get moving!
