I've run this race about 6 times overall the past 12 years. The organization is good, and the money raised goes to a good cause. The Paramus cops do a great job sealing and shutting off roads throughout the course. However, the signage leading from route 17 to

"Tips and Notes:
- you don't need to get there as early as they say
- mentally challenging to pass the halfway mark with others finishing - as with almost all half/full marathon races
- good crowd support in the beginning, a bit less on the second half
- work in hill training - not

This was a well-organized race with fantastic on-course support. It was really warm (72 degrees and sunny!) and I appreciated the abundant water stations, which usually isn't something I notice. The course has gorgeous views of the ocean outbound along Highway 101, and then you come back on the inner portion
