Powder Keg Trail Run - Kings Mills, Ohio - Running

The Powder Keg Trail Run is a Running race in Kings Mills, Ohio consisting of a 5K Trail Run.

The Powder Keg is a perennial favorite. Explore the many trails behind the Historic Kings Mansion. The course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Follow along the river on the old abandoned King Road. Explore an old dam. Climb the Stairway to Heaven.
The Powder Keg 5K Trail Race is presented by Deerfield Township and The Arts Alliance.
All proceeds benefit The Arts Alliance toward future arts programming.
Race is listed as a 5K. However, actual will probably be at least 3.5 miles.
This is the sixth event of the 2017 Dirt Days Trail Series.

I-71 to Kings Mills Exit. Go East past Columbia. Kings Mills turns into King Ave. Mansion is on the Left.

The Course:

Scenic course explores the trails of the Historic Kings Mansion. Course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Follow along the river on the old abandoned King Road. Explore an old dam. Make your ascent to the top via a series of steps. Then, you will explore the north side of the park trails. Follow around some ballfields and then the final push to the finish.

Run Divisions:

Run - Men & Women: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70/over.

Walk Divisions:

Walk - Men & Women 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60/over

Individual Event Awards:

The overall top male and overall top female will receive a FREE Pair of Saucony Trail Shoes, redeemable at Fleet Feet Sports.

Random drawing Shoe winner: An additional FREE Pair of Saucony Trail Shoes will be randomly awarded at each event, redeemable at Fleet Feet Sports!

No duplicate shoe winners are allowed throughout the series. This means that many people regardless of ability will have an opportunity to win a pair of shoes.

Age Group awards will be presented immediately after the race based on the above divisions.

Randomly drawn door prizes.

You must be present to win any random drawing and you cannot accept for someone else, so stick around!
