The Groundhog Day 5K is a Running race in Akron, Ohio consisting of a 5K.
Each runner will individually complete a 5K in SEGMENTS of 833 meters. That is to say that you start the race by running 833 meters (roughly a half mile). You stop and wait until the last person in your "group" finishes. The entire group waits and then you run 833 again. You will repeat this a total of 6 times. We will take each of your times from each of the 833 meters and add it together to calculate your final 5K finisher time. Groups will be made up of people with similar pace per mile times.
