UGTBGrind'n Trail Run - New Hill, North Carolina - Running

The UGTBGrind'n Trail Run is a Running race in New Hill, North Carolina consisting of a 5 Mile Trail Run.

The 10 mile (2 loop) and 5 mile (1 loop) course will be at the beautiful Harris Lake Park just 15 minutes south of Raleigh! The course will start on pavement then quickly hit the single track for the remander of the run. The run will feature beautiful views of Harris Lake in the chilly winter!

The 680-acre park is situated on a peninsula near the Shearon Harris Reservoir in New Hill, N.C. - and is convenient to Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina. Indulge your senses as you tour the brightly colored sensory garden, take your bike out on the Hog Run Mountain Bike Trail, play a round of disc golf with friends or spend a quiet afternoon fishing at Harris Lake County Park.

The 10 mile and 5 mile course will start in the parking lot near the Longleaf Pine Shelter near the finish line. The course will take a short run on the pavement then make a left turn onto the gravel road. Shortly after the gravel road you will begin to make your away around the butterfly field and into the Peninsula Trail loop. The loop will take you down past the Frisbee golf course then a left turn onto the single track trails. You will encounter some small up and downs on the course and the terrain will be normal trail conditions. The back half of the course features some fast flat sections with pictursque view of Harris Lake. A small bridge will take over the water then back on the trail. When wet and cold the bridge can be icy. You will continue on the Peninsula Trail until you hit the Kayak launch path where the 10 mile and 5 mile routes will split. This is also the start of the second loop for the 10 miler. We will have plenty of signage and volunteers to direct you.

Water stops will be located about mile 2 and 5 with water only.
