About The Olga Memorial Footrace
The Olga Memorial Footrace is a Running race in Saranac Lake, New York consisting of a 10K and 5K.
The Olga Memorial Footrace is a 5K and 10K Run and 5K Walk that has become a traditional Saranac Lake summer event. For the past 20 years it has continued to support multiple community causes, including the Riverwalk, Girl Scouts and the Skate Park. This year the proceeds will benefit our local youth through increased programming at the Saranac Lake Youth Center and to enhance the Rotary Club of Saranac Lake's literacy program which aims to put a book in the hands of every child in the local elementary school.
The race starts at 9:30 am at Berkeley Green, at the corner of Main and Broadway Streets.Keep Reading The course is mostly flat, circling Moody Pond and passing by Lake Flower. There are three water stations on the course. The 10K is a two-loop course and is a true 10K distance. Awards to the top three male and female finishers in each age division in the 5K and 10K runs and Awards to top male and female finishers in two age divisions in the walk. Race results, raffle and awards ceremony are held immediately following the last finisher. Two round trip Cape Air Tickets from Saranac Lake to Boston will be raffled off and the winner chosen at the end of the race.
