About The Blade 5K

The Blade 5K is a Running race in Omaha, Nebraska consisting of a 5K.

Runners and walkers of all levels and abilities can join us as we hit the paved trail at beautiful Chalco Lake Recreation Area. The wide trail is an all pavement path, with just enough gently rolling hills to get you working!

This is a runner-friendly, walker-friendly, kid-friendly and amputee-friendly event. However, for liability reasons, we are sorry, but NO DOGS are allowed on this race course.

The 5K crowd will start at 8:00am, with the 1 mile group beginning at 8:10am.

This event is the inaugural charity run event for our recent amputee and former Ironman friend, Nate Wigdahl. This is not a serious, hard-core,Keep Reading Boston qualifying event. If you can't have fun at this run, then it's not meant for you. This event is meant to support our friend along with other amputees, in the hopes that they may find their passion for fitness again.

The monies raised from this run will go towards the purchase of a running blade, so that our rockstar friend Nate can get back on the race scene. In fact, each year as we grow, we will choose other amputees in which to help financially.
