The Chadron Rotary Colter Run is a Running race in Chadron, Nebraska consisting of a 10K and 2 Miles and 5K.
John Colter - In 1811, mountain man John Colter ran 300 miles in about 11 days to get away from the pursuing Blackfeet Indians. During the annual Chadron Fur Trade Days celebration, the road race commemorates the endurance feat of mountain man, John Colter.
The Colter Run features a 10K competitive race, a 5K competitive race and a 2-mile fun run/walk. The 10K is one of the most challengeing courses in Nebraska ran on the streets of Chadron and the adjacent Pine Ridge south of Chadron. The 5K run does not include Maple Street Hill and the loop through HIdden Valley.
Registration online ($20) or day of event ($25).Keep Reading Registration starts at 6:30 at the east entrance/plaza to the Chadron State Nelson Physical Activity Center. All races start at 7:30 am. Registration includes Chadron Rotary Colter Run Tshirt.
