This race was great is every way. The packet pickup was easy and well organized. The course was well marked. Running around the Pentagon on closed highways is something you can't ever do - legally at least!

After the race the food and drinks, especially the beer, were great

Still one of my top 5 favorite 5K races. Well organized run on a beautiful course. Digital mile time clocks were spot on. Beer, (limit two beers) watermelon, pretzels at the finish line. If you registered early enough you had your name on your race bib. I like that.

The Newport Half Marathon was my first half marathon. The course was flat with beautiful scenery of the Manhattan skyline. The start line and the first few miles were a tight squeeze with all the runners but I imagine that is what ever race is like. Unfortunately, the race occurred the
