The Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race is a Running race in abington, Massachusetts consisting of a 5K.

Each September the Foundation sponsors the Jeff Coombs Memorial Road Race, Walk and Family Day, raising about $50,000 annually. The 5K road race/walk has become a highly anticipated event in the town and is well known beyond the streets of Abington. Participants to the event have come from cities throughout the state, as well as New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Arizona, California, Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

We hope you'll join us this year in the Annual event. We anticipate an enthusiastic crowd ready to run, walk, or just hang out for a great cause!! We hope to have some of our real American military heroes running in uniform again this year, carrying their 25lb rucksacks on their back.

Held on what would have been Jeff's 58th birthday, the 15th Annual Road Race, Walk and Family Day was another huge success, indicating there's still a lot of enthusiasm about this event even after 15 years! Nearly 1200 participants and many more spectators attended. Each year medals are awarded in a number of categories, male and female, as well as a stroller division. All registered participants, whether running, walking or just hanging around, receive a coveted Road Race t-shirt. Anyone attending is invited to enjoy the free food and children's activities, including a children's race, moonwalks, a DJ, clowns, face-painting, and balloon sculptures.
