The first thing that makes this run unique is the 6:15 night start. A little hot, but overall cool atmosphere starting later in the day. Nice not having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to get a parking spot and start a race. The course was great, cops

I ran the 5K this year. I would have liked to have run the 10K it's an earlier start , cooler with less runners but didn't have the training miles in so opted for the 5K Run. NJM hired a new Race Director who did a great job and so

This has always been one of my favorite races in DC because it takes place against the backdrop of the beautiful cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin and Hanes point in DC in April. Weather is always unpredictable, but typically the temps are perfect for a great race (cold, but manageable).
