About The Marines Helping Heroes 5K Challenge

The Marines Helping Heroes 5K Challenge is a Running race in Hanover, Maryland consisting of a 5K.

The Annual Marines Helping Heroes 5k Challenge - presented by Live! Casino-Hotel - is a fundraising event hosted by Arundel Mills Mall. The event was created by the Anne Arundel County Detachment of the MARINE CORPS LEAGUE to support our local military and veterans. All funds raised will benefit our local military and the Semper Fi Fund.

This flat course at Arundel Mills Mall is suitable for runners at any level. Who knows? A personal best may be in the making.

The unique Challenge portion of this event is entirely optional. Participants may sign up (at no additional charge) to compete in a sit-up and push-up contest. Those scores,Keep Reading

"This is a much smaller race than others in the area but continues to grow each year. The course is a nice flat 5K loop around Arundel Mills Mall and Live! Casino. They also have a fun surprise from Medieval Times waiting for you at the halfway mark. Itas a nice challenge with a fun vendor area for before and after with music, food, water, and beer for runners and spectators. The pullup/pushup/situp challenges are a fun addition since they are patterned after the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Tes..."

This race was small compared to others I've done.. but don't let that sway you. It was a great family friendly race with all ages. It was fun to run with Marines and the money went to a great cause. Awesome t-shirt and finisher medal. THANKS
