About The Market Street Mile

The Market Street Mile is a Running race in Frederick, Maryland consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run, 1 Mile.

This one mile point to point race begins at the Frederick YMCA and proceeds south on Market Street to the Carroll Creek in downtown Frederick. It is a Grand Prix event for the Frederick Steeplechasers and the Maryland RRCA.

Proceeds benefit the Student Homelessness Iniative Partnership of Frederick County or SHIP. SHIP addresses the urgent needs of the hundreds of Frederick County Public School Students experiencing homelessness.
