The swimming portion runs parallel to the beach and the waves are typically small so early in the morning.
The bike portion has a beautiful 11.1 mile course along the Lake Minnewaska and beautiful views and the run is 2.5 miles
out and back along the Lake and finishes by a soccer field.

This was my first half and I did it in 2:09:45. It was awesome running down by the Mississippi River and down Beale st. I will definitely be doing it again next year!!! The post race activities was amazing!!!

Four years ago, this was my first marathon so it will always hold a special place in my heart! Great cheerleaders on the side lines, relatively flat course and great aide stations. The course is constantly changing and I wasn't a huge fan of the Pentagon parking lot this year before
