251 W Locust St., Belvidere, IL

The Hug an Athlete 5K is a Running race in Belvidere, Illinois consisting of a 5K.


All proceeds from the Hug An Athlete 5K will benefit the NASR-Belvidere Park District's Special Olympics athletes. The funds will be used towards new sports equipment, uniforms, scholarships for athletes in need, and it will help to grow the program to offer more Special Olympics sports.
Event will happen no matter if there is snow on the ground. Please dress accordingly. There will be hot chocolate at the end of the race for all 5k participants.
