Honoring the Legacy Memorial Day 5K - Belleville, Illinois - Running

The Honoring the Legacy Memorial Day 5K is a Running race in Belleville, Illinois consisting of a 5K.

Memorial Day is our day of remembrance in which we honor those who served in our military and have passed on. On this Memorial Day, Trail Life and American Heritage Girls Troops IL-0078 will be sponsoring their annual HONORING THE LEGACY Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk. This will be a great time to reflect on those who gave their lives. The run starts in Laderman Park, runs through the Belleville downtown area on Belleville's Memorial Day Parade Route and finishes up back at the park. After the award ceremony, walk up the street to watch the parade that starts at 10:00am and attend the Memorial Day Ceremony at Walnut Hill Cemetery that starts at 11:00am.

The funds raised from the race will be used to support activities for the young men and women to learn skills in outdoor activiities, citizenship, and leadership.
