Western Pleasure Snowshoe Roundup - Sandpoint, Idaho - Running

The Western Pleasure Snowshoe Roundup is a Running race in Sandpoint, Idaho consisting of a 10K and 5K.

Welcome to the fourth edition of the Western Pleasure Snowshoe Roundup hosted by the scenic Western Pleasure Guest Ranch near Sandpoint, Idaho. Events include 5k and 10k snowshoe races for ages 13 and up and a short distance Buckaroo race for racers 12 and under. Races are sanctioned by the US Snowshoe Association (USSSA). All events offer both recreational and competitive opportunities. No experience necessary. This is a fun event and everyone is invited to participate.

Race courses are challenging but very scenic and consist of a combination of hills, meadows, forest, and open areas. Awards are unique and individually handcrafted. The first three male and female finishers in the 5k and 10k races receive placement awards and all finishers in all races receive finisher's awards. Racers under 12 race for free! (12 and under sign up at registration on race morning).

Dion Snowshoes is providing a limited number of racing snowshoes for use by those who may not have them--first come, first served. Hot soup and beverages will be available for purchase in the lodge following the races.
