Covington Cheerios Challenge - Covington, Georgia - Running

The Covington Cheerios Challenge is a Running race in Covington, Georgia consisting of a Kids Run/Fun Run and 1 Mile and 10K and 15K and 5K.

The Covington Cheerios Challenge started in 2001 in conjunction with the Y's Healthy Kids Day to promote exercise and healthy living. It has grown from 45 kids running the 1 mile to over 1,300 adults and children of all ages in four different races. All proceeds go toward our Annual Campaign, which helps families and children participate in our programs who otherwise would not be able to due to financial hardship.

Standard age group awards including Master, Grand Master & Senior Master, will be given for the 10K & 5K. Standard age group awards for ages 12 and under will be given for the 1 Mile. All kids (up to age 12) participating in the 1 Mile will receive a ribbon. The top three male and female finishers will receive awards for the 15K and all finishers will receieve a finishers medal.

Cash prize of $100 for breaking the 10K or 5K course record (Male 5K 14:48, Female 5K 17:15, Male 10K 31:16, Female 10K 37:52). Cash prize of $150 for breaking the 15K course record (Male 1:02:50, Female 56:55)

There will be activities for the entire family near the finish line on Legion Field.
