The Parrothead 5K is a Running race in Daytona Beach, Florida consisting of a 5K.
Runners and walkers alike will enjoy the sun and sand at their feet for this Jimmy Buffett themed beach 5K and Fun Run! You'll enjoy the sounds of the surf from the World's Most Famous Beach and great Trop Rock Music while you bring your best Parrothead themed hats and attire for our morning race. A portion of the race proceeds benefit the Marine Science Center and their efforts to help sea turtle rehabilitation. It's fins up following the race at LandShark Bar & Grill for the awards ceremony where you'll enjoy food, fun and a complimentary beverage...because it's always 5 'o clock somewhere!
Beautiful area, plenty of parking, a lot of fun people. The after free beer was very small and the food was sliders and I don't eat meat and there was nothing else, but this was a good race and a good experience and I would do it again.
