The Boombox Mile is a Running race in Windham, Connecticut consisting of a 1 Mile.
The Boombox Mile has been run on the parade route of the famous Boombox Parade for the last 15 years. Thousands of spectators assembled for the parade cheer runners on as they make their way down Main St through historic Willimantic's downtown. Once the race is over, runners make their way back to the start for post-race awards and light snacks. Most then stay in town for what is arguably the nation's most unique Fourth of July Day Parade.
