This event has become a summer tradition for me. Great location and nice energy for the event. Enjoy seeing Mt Rainier in the distance and of course the beautiful Seattle shoreline along the way. The t-shirt typically has a cool design that is a surprise each year.

The race benefits the Alternative House of Lowell, an agency dedicated to help victims of domestic violence.

Price for 5K or 10K is very reasonable, you get a very nice T-Shirt if you are one of the first 500 to register and everybody gets a frozen apple pie at the end.

On mile

I always try to do this ride to get going in the spring. The roads are usually plenty dry enough, not really muddy. There are plenty of hills, but not half as bad as the Central VT Cycling Tour in the same region.
