The It Takes Guts 5K is a Running race in Sacramento, California consisting of a 5K.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our annual It Takes Guts 5K River Run and Walk. The event will be held in William B. Pond Park at the Cottonwood picnic area on the American River. All registered walkers receive an ITG t-shirt and a special award upon finishing the 5K. All entrants have the ability to create a team and raise funds as a team. All proceeds of our 5K go towards our Warrior Workshops, held monthly to support families of children with chronic illness, and for our annual Warrior Family Camp held at St. Dorothy's Rest in Occidental, California. The course begins at WilliamKeep Reading B. Pond Park at the Cottonwood picnic area just west of the Harold Richey Bicycle Bridge (look for the red and white balloons!) on the paved American River Trail going west, continuing up onto the rock levy turning at Rio Americano High School as it drops you back around onto the paved trail and back to William B. Pond Park.
